Today was a rest day and I needed to try and get a different saddle, so I caught the bus for the 60 mile trip into Jackson. The views from the bus of the Teton mountain range was amazing.
Jackson was a really nice town, but very touristy. I still cannot deduce whether the elderly couple on horses were really mounted police or just for show.
My favourite part was shooting the breeze with the guy in the outdoor shop who was in charge of the gun department. It’s crazy that you can buy this stuff!
The gun below is a .5 Magnum. I hate to think what the recoil would be like.
I found the bike shop and picked up a new specialized saddle. Trouble is with saddles is that changing from one to another just moves the area of discomfort to another place 😦
A few beers and a bison burger back at Flag Ranch finished off the rest day. 70 miles tomorrow and a 9568ft pass to go over.

Sure will, but am looking forward to getting back. After 15 days of riding vast expanses of nothingness I’ve decided I am done with the divide trail!
Looking forward to a simple road ride back home.
Ps – the brooks finally came good!
