Previous : Day 6 – Warm River to Flag Ranch (48 miles)

As usual I was last to leave the camp site.  Finally rode out at 815am.  Took it steady just so I could deduce whether the knees were feeling better for the rest day.  After 10 miles I felt a few twinges so I popped a couple of vitamin I.

I was also hoping the vitamin I would help alleviate my sore arse. The new saddle was great at alleviating the pain caused by the Brooks, but it just caused pain elsewhere.
The knee pain subsided, but the sore backside did not, so I am going back to the Brooks tomorrow.
Stunning views once again of the Tetons as I cycled the first 30 miles of road.

The first 30 miles passed by pretty easily, but when the climb to the pass started, it was up and up for what felt like eternity. It is always nice to spot the divide crossing sign as you know it’s downhill time and some cracking views. The views did not disappoint.

Reached Lava mountain campsite at around 330pm and went to the bar for a cool ..

I found the sign on the table rather amusing. I think Maisy would approve.
