Previous : Day 8 – Lava Mountain to Boulder Creek (107 miles)

Atlantic City, that will be great as I set off from camp.  It was a real struggle to get moving today and I crawled along for the first 30 miles.  It was the first time I resorted to listening to some music to help me keep moving.  I also had a packet of Fig Newtons.  They do taste good and offer a change from the usual sugary sports bar.

The sky was looking ominous and the forecast was for rain.

The rain did finally arrive, but it made for some great pictures and I especially like the moody and angry looking sky.

Atlantic City was not as I expected though.  Population = 57.

There was at least a bar/mercantile so maybe a post ride beer.

You guessed it.  It was closed.

Another tough day. 6hrs 10 mins riding time.
